Description
During the 1924 uprising, the Bolsheviks subjected entirely innocent individuals to repression. Based on documentary evidence, this play tells the tragic story of two families who fell victim to ,,Red Army Purge." A new era begins, but at what cost? An eyewitness to these events wrote in a diary: ,,They went around the families of the nobility, rounded up the men, and executed them.”
The play was originally staged at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University on April 18, 2022.
The premiere of the new production will take place on March 11 and 12 at the Sukhumi State Drama Theatre.
